There are several options, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. We can fabricate custom made whitening trays from impressions of your teeth. A whitening gel is placed in the trays and worn over your teeth in the comfort of your own home. They can also be used in the future for touch ups. We also can provide professional strength whitening strips that do not require impressions. They do not cover the entire arch, require longer use, but can achieve the same effects. Another method is the in-office whitening requiring a light. There have been no studies indicating that it is more effective than those previously mentioned. In fact, the light has no whitening properties and generates possibly damaging heat to the teeth. This method also requires at-home bleaching trays. For these reasons, we do not offer this last option.
